MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ announced in India; Realme X7 Pro launch seems imminent

MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset has been officially announced in India and it is set to power the “next wave of 5G devices” in the country. The official launch of the Dimensity 1000+ chipset comes just days after MediaTek announced the Dimensity 800U SoC. There have been several phones that have launched globally with Dimensity chipsets and some of these are expected to make their way to India, starting with the Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro. Realme X7 series India launch has already been confirmed, though an exact launch date is yet to be announced.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ is a 5G-integrated chipset that aims to offer improved gaming, video playback, and enhanced connectivity. The chipset is based on a power-efficient 7nm process and offers dual 5G SIM, carrier aggregation, faster speeds, and MediaTek 5G UltraSafe power-saving technology for improved battery life.

The first phone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ in India is widely expected to be the Realme X7 Pro. To recall, the smartphone was launched in China in September alongside the Dimensity 800U-powered Realme X7. The Pro model touts a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. The device also packs a 4,500mAh battery, 65W fast charging support, and 64MP quad cameras, among other things. Realme X7 Pro price in China is RMB 2,199 (approx Rs 23,400) and we can expect similar pricing in India as well.
