Meizu 16T flagship smartphone has been officially unveiled in China. The latest flagship packs Samsung’s Super AMOLED display and is also TÜV-certified for low blue light emission. The Meizu 16T has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for security, which is claimed to have 30 percent more unlock success rate compared to the predecessor, dual stereo speakers, a linear motor and game mode 4.0 to enhance the gaming experience. The Meizu 16T is priced at RMB 1,999 (around Rs. 20,100) for the 6GB + 128GB model, RMB 2,299 (around Rs 23,100) for the 8GB + 128GB, and the high-end variant with 8GB + 256GB costs RMB 2,499 (around Rs 25,100). The handset is already available for pre-order in China and will go on sale starting October 28th. It comes in Green, Orange and Blue colour options.
Meizu 16T specifications
The Meizu 16T flaunts a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 18.6:9 aspect ratio and 2,232 X 1080 pixels resolutions. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC with Adreno 640 GPU. The handset comes in three variants; 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. On the software side of things, the handset offers early access experience to the Flyme OS 8.
In terms of optics, the Meizu 16T features a triple camera setup on the back consisting of a 12MP primary Sony IMX362 sensor, a 5MP Samsung 5E9 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 118-degree field of view. On the front, it has a 16MP sensor for selfies and video chats. There is an in-display sensor for security. Connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5, and GPS, USB Type-C. A 4,500mAh battery with 18W mCharge fast charging support fuels the handset.
