Meta services including popular social media platforms Facebook and Instagram, and messaging app WhatsApp, have been hit by an outage across the globe. Users flocking to X formerly Twitter complain they are unable to send messages on either of the platforms, though social media feeds appear to be loading for some.
Downdetector showed the outage reports began coming in around 11 PM IST. Meta is yet to release a statement on the outage, and neither have services been restored at the time of writing.
