“With a score of 124, Mi 10 Pro is now the highest rated smartphone on DxOMark”
Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were launched in China today. The flagship smartphones tout high-end specifications such as the Snapdragon 865 SoC and LPDDR5 RAM. Additionally, the smartphones come with some really impressive 108MP quad cameras. The Mi 10 Pro, in particular, seems to be a camera beast, and DxOMark has confirmed this. The Mi 10 Pro variant has scored 124 points in the overall DxOMark camera review, thereby making it the new leader in smartphone camera image quality. The handset has a 108MP primary sensor, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 12MP short telephoto lens and an 8MP long telephoto lens. It bagged a whopping 134 score for still photos and 104 in the video department. DxoMark says that the image results are similar to Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition, but thanks to the Snapdragon 865 chipset and enhanced tuning, the camera performance is said to be superior.
Furthermore, the Mi 10 Pro still images have stable and accurate target exposure and the dynamic range has been improved over the Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition and is even better than the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G and iPhone 11 Pro Max, especially in the highlights. DxOMark says that while the colour representation is generally accurate, they are a little washed in some scenes, but with lower saturation than others. The Mi 10 Pro also manages noise very well, but it is visible especially when shooting indoors.
DxOMark also claims that Mi 10 Pro autofocus is accurate and fast to lock, but there is a slight delay when focusing on faces, with the focus point set behind the face towards the background. In terms of ultra-wide-angle camera, the 20MP sensor has managed to improve the level of detail and HDR processing over the Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition. The bokeh images are said to be similar to the CC9 Pro with decent edge detection. As for the low-light performance, the Mi 10 Pro captures excellent details and dynamic range. As for the video, the footage has good colours, exposure and details in bright light conditions. The autofocus is fast and accurate in all light conditions and the stabilisation is a bonus.
