Xiaomi made its debut in the laptop segment in India with the launch of all-new Mi Notebook 14 series on Thursday. The company has announced the Mi Notebook 14 and the flagship Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition, which are brand new models customised for India. Both the Xiaomi laptops tout thin and light designs. The notebooks are powered by Windows 10 Home Edition and feature 14-inch FHD displays, up to 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage, and 10 hours of battery life. The main differences between the two laptops are the CPU and graphics card. Mi Notebook 14, Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition India price and sale date

The Mi Notebook 14 price in India is set at Rs 41,999 for the base 256GB storage option. The 512GB storage variant with Intel UHD graphics and 512GB storage variant with GeForce MX250 GPU prices have been set at Rs 44,999 and Rs 47,999, respectively. The company says these are inaugural prices valid until July 16th, which means the prices will be revised next month. Additionally, Xiaomi is offering a Rs 2,000 instant discount using HDFC Bank debit or credit card, bringing the effective starting price down to Rs 39,999.

The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition price starts at Rs 54,999 for the Core i5 variant and goes up to Rs 59,999 for the Core i7 variant. With the Rs 2,000 instant discount offer, the effective staring price of the Mi Notebook Horizon Edition comes with Rs 52,999. First sale of the Mi Notebook 14 series will begin on June 17th on Mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Home and Mi Studio.

The Mi Notebook 14 and Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition sport a 14-inch anti-glare screen with FHD (1,920 x 1,080p) display, 16:9 aspect ratio, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The flagship Horizon Edition model comes with a Horizon Edge display, featuring slim bezels at just 3mm in thickness on the top and sides which allow for a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. The laptops also highlight a compact form factor and are ultra-lightweight with the Horizon Edition model weighing at just 1.35 kgs.

Both the Mi Notebook models run on Windows 10 Home Edition out of the box and come with 30-day free Office 360 trial, Windows Defender antivirus, Mi Blaze unlock, and Mi Quickshare. The laptops house a 46W battery that is rated to last up to 10 hours on a single charge. The retail box will include a 65W charger as well. 

The Mi Notebook 14 is powered by an Intel 10th-gen Core i5 Comet Lake chipset paired with Intel UHD Graphics 620/ NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU, and up to 8GB + 512GB SSD storage. The Horizon Edition, on the other hand, packs Intel 10th-gen Core i7 Comet Lake CPU and NVIDIA GeFroce MX350 GPU under the hood. This model ships with 8GB LPDDR4 RAM and a fast 512GB SSD Storage.

Other Mi Notebook 14 features include a 4W speaker, 3.5mm auxiliary port for headphone and mic, and DTS audio processing. In terms of connectivity, the Mi Notebooks support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, HDMI, 2x USB 3.1, a USB 2.0, and Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The laptops come with a large trackpad and a scissor-switch keyboard with enough travel to offer a tactile feel.
