To recall, Xiaomi launched the Mi Notebook 14 last year and it seems the upcoming Mi Notebook Pro 14 will be an upgraded version with the latest hardware. It’s possible the laptop could come with specifications similar to the Mi Notebook Pro 14 that launched in China.

Mi Notebook Pro 14 specifications

The Mi Notebook Pro 14 that launched in China comes with a 14-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels (16:10 aspect ratio). It has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 600 nits, covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut and delta E values lower than 1.5. A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass process the screen from daily wear and tear. Lastly, the laptop is certified by TUV Rhineland, meaning that its screen is designed to reduce eye fatigue.

Under the hood, the Mi Notebook Pro 14 features 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake processors. One can choose between a Core i7-11370H and a Core i5-11300H. Memory and storage max out at 16GB of 3,200MHz DDR4 RAM and 512GB of solid-state storage via an NVMe SSD. Its Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics card should allow for some light gaming, but some of the entry-level models have to make do with the integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU. Xiaomi claims that one can get up to 12 hours of usage out of the laptop’s 56Wh battery.

Lastly, the Mi Notebook Pro 14 supports Wi-Fi 6 and ships with a power button that doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. The included Thunderbolt 4.0 port can charge the laptop and allow for further port expansion. Xiaomi also includes a USB C to HDMI adaptor inside the box. Other ports include a DP port and a 3.5mm combo jack for audio. The Mi Notebook Pro 14 price starts at CNY 5,299 (approx Rs 60,000) in China. Its price in India should be around that range, too.

Mi Notebook Pro X specifications

The upcoming Mi Notebook Ultra 15.6 could be a rebranded Mi Notebook Pro X. The latter was launched in China with a 15.6-inch 3.5K (3,456 × 2,160) OLED panel that is unfortunately restricted to 60Hz. A higher refresh rate would have been ideal, given that it is a ‘gaming’ laptop. Nonetheless, it is fairly colour accurate and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 and 100% of the sRGB colour gamut and comes with VESA DisplayHDR 500 certification.

Much like the Mi Notebook Pro 14, the Mi Notebook Pro X also features the same Intel Core i7-11370H and Core i5-11300H processors, coupled with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti. However, the maximum amount of RAM has been bumped up from 16GB to 32GB. Similarly, one can configure the notebook with up to 1TB of solid-state storage.

Other Mi Notebook Pro X features Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.0, a Thunderbolt 4.0 port, a USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, two USB Type-A ports and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. There is a fingerprint sensor baked into the laptop’s power button. Lastly, the Mi Notebook Pro X ships with an 80Wh battery. The entry-level variant with a Core i5 processor costs CNY 8,499 (approx Rs 97,900), and the Intel Core i7 version will cost you CNY 9,999 (approx Rs 1,14,960).
