The Mi TV 5 Pro series has been officially launched in China, as expected. Xiaomi is touting its no-screw design with extremely slim, 5.9mm thick frame. The Mi TV 5 Pro pack a 4K QLED quantum dot display panel that covers 108 percent NTSC wide colour gamut; this is the first time Xiaomi is using a QLED panel. To recall, the OnePlus TV and OnePlus TV Pro feature QLED screens, along with several Samsung models. The Mi TV 5 Pro is available in three screen sizes, namely 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. Alongside the Pro models, Xiaomi has launched the standard Mi TV 5 series, which comes in the same screen sizes.

The latest TV series ships with the 12nm T972 chipset that has support for 8K video playback. Xiaomi claims the chipset is 63 percent more powerful than the previous-gen CPU. The Mi TV 5 Pro range supports HDR10 and MEMC motion compressor. The latest TVs also function as AIoT Smart Home centre, this means smart home devices can be controlled using the Mi TV 5 models. It runs on PatchWall artificial intelligence TV system. The Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Pro packs 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. They pack a four-unit speaker system with a woofer and full-range speaker each in the left and right channels. The TVs also support various Dolby and DTS audio formats.
The 55-inch model costs RMB 3,699 (around Rs 37,300), the 65-inch model sets you back by RMB 4,999 (around Rs 50,400) and lastly, the 75-inch model is priced at RMB 9,999 (around Rs 1,08,030) in China.

As mentioned earlier, the standard Mi TV 5 lineup is also available in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch sizes. These TVs come with 85 percent NTSC colour gamut and all-metal unibody design. It is also powered by the same 12nm processor, but with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The Mi TV 5 models run on PatchWall OS and function as AIoT Smart Home centre. It has built-in four far-field voice-control and comes with Dolby Audio and DTS for an immersive audio experience. The 55-inch model costs RMB 2,999 (around Rs 30,250), the 65-inch model sets you back by RMB 3,999 (around Rs 40,400) and lastly, the 75-inch model is priced at RMB 7,999 (around Rs 80,700) in China.
