At the Smarter Living 2022 event on Thursday, Xiaomi launched the Mi TV 5X series in India. The newest lineup of smart TVs will replace the popular Mi TV 4X. To recall, the Mi TV 4X was introduced in India in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch sizes. The Mi TV 5X series includes 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch models that offer updated designs, improved picture quality, and enhanced sound quality, among other things. The Mi TV 5X lineup touts 4K HDR displays, Dolby Vision support, HDR10+, metal body design, and up to 40W speakers, among other things. Mi TV 5X 43, 50, and 55 specifications
The Mi TV 5X 43, 50, and 55 models share a lot of features in common and mainly differ in size and sound output. The 43-inch model comes with 30W dual speakers, while the 50-inch and 55-inch models come equipped with 40W stereo speakers. All three Mi TV 5X models come with 4K HDR (3840×2160) displays that support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG. The displays are backed by Vivid Picture Engine 2, 1 billion colours, and DCI P3 wide color gamut.
In terms of sound, the Mi TV 5X series features two speakers that deliver up to 40W sound. The TVs support Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD. Connectivity options include three HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, an ethernet port, an optical port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and AV input. The TVs also support eARC, Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE, and Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.
The Mi TV 5X series is powered by a 64-bit quad-core A55 CPU with Mali G52 MP2, 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. The smart TV runs on Android TV 10 with PatchWall 4 on top. Notably, the Mi TV 5X series is the first smart TV in India to come integrated with IMDB ratings. The lineup also supports Google Assistance and Chromecast built-in.
