“The Canvas Infinity Pro is allegedly launching this month, priced under Rs 15,000”
Earlier in September, Micromax joined the club of bezel-free smartphone manufacturers by launching the Canvas Infinity. The budget phone arrived with a nearly bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Now it appears that the company is working on the device’s successor, which will be launched as the Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro. Ahead of the unveiling, an image of the phone’s alleged retail package has been leaked on the interwebs.
The leaked image suggests that the Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro will be offering a display similar to its successor. The device will get minimal bezels on the two sides and slim bezels on the top and bottom. The box also suggests that the phone could come with dual front-facing cameras. The phone will flaunt a 5.7-inch IPS display, just like its predecessor.
Unfortunately, there’s no word regarding the other specifications of the Canvas Infinity Pro. The source suggests that the phone will be launched later this month, and will be priced at under Rs 15,000.
As for the Micromax Canvas Infinity (review), the phone is priced at Rs 9,999, and is available exclusively on Amazon India. The phone comes with a 5.7-inch display bearing a resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, mated to 3GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 32GB, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card.
The Canvas Infinity comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 16-megapixel secondary snapper on the front. The Android Nougat-powered offering comes with 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 2,900mAh battery keeps the handset running. Design-wise, it features a metal frame with a removable back and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
We expect the rumour mill to reveal more details of the Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro in the coming days, so stay tuned to 91mobiles for regular updates.
