Micromax launches the Canvas Play 4G with 5.5-inch HD display, quad-core CPU, and 13MP rear camera for Rs 12,499

In addition to the Canvas Blaze 4G, Micromax has also released the Canvas Play 4G Android smartphone in India. The Play 4G is a mid-range offering with support for Indian 4G LTE bands, running Android 5.1 Lollipop. The phone has been priced at Rs 12,499, and will be available via major e-commerce portals and brick-and-mortar stores across the country.

The Micromax Canvas Play 4G offers a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (the exact model hasn’t been specified), further supported by 2GB of RAM. The device offers 16GB of internal memory, expandable via a microSD card. For imaging, it offers a 13MP autofocus rear snapper with a dual-LED flash, and a 5MP front shooter. The Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G that was released earlier today is one of the most affordable 4G LTE-enabled phone in India at Rs 6,999. Its specs include a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, a quad-core Snapdragon 210 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 5MP/2MP cameras, 8GB of flash memory, and a 2,000mAh battery.
