Micromax launches the Canvas Tabby with a ‘kids-use’ mode for Rs 6,499

Soon after launching the Canvas Sliver 5 (first impressions) smartphone, Micromax has introduced the Canvas Tabby slate. The tablet features a ‘kids-use’ mode that provides access to over 100 apps and 500 videos covering education, creativity, and entertainment, as well as a parental control system.

Coming to the features, the Micromax Canvas Tabby offers a 7-inch display, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. The slate is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek 8312 processor, aided by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash memory. The device has a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front snapper. Connectivity wise, it offers dual-SIM slots, voice-calling, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. It is fuelled by a 3,200mAh battery.

The Canvas Tabby has been priced at Rs 6,499, and will be available exclusively on Flipkart from June 22nd, and via other online and retail channels in the third week of July.
