Micromax has confirmed the launch of a new smartphone, Micromax In Note 2, in India. The handset will be the successor to last year In Note 1, which came with a sticker price of Rs 10,999. The Micromax In Note 2 price in India could be along the same line as its predecessor to take on the affordable smartphones from Xiaomi and Realme. The handset will come with a punch-hole display design and a quad-camera setup around the back. The company announced on its Twitter page that it’ll be launching the new Micromax In Note 2 smartphone in India on January 25th. The phone will most likely be only available for purchase on Flipkart and certain offline resellers.

As per the teaser shared by the company, the Micromax In Note 2 will have a glossy finish, which is being marketed as Dazzling glass. We can also see the rear camera setup, which is reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy S21 camera module. The fascia of the smartphone will flaunt a near edge-to-edge design with a centred punch-hole for the selfie camera and a noticeable chin at the bottom.
Coming to the specifications, the Micromax In Note 2 will offer 30W fast charging support and a fast charger in the box. It’ll have a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, along with Type-C port and speaker grille at the back. The rear camera module appears to house quad sensors. We don’t have the sensor details yet, but we expect them, as well as other specifications of the phone, better than its predecessor.
The Micromax In Note 1, to recall, sports 48MP quad rear cameras, 16MP selfie camera, MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, 5,000mAh battery, and a 6.67-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2400) punch-hole display.
