"The new MIUI 11 icons are now more colourful, but since it's still in the development phase, the shape and size aren't consistent"
Xiaomi's Mi MIX 4 and MIUI 11 skin are tipped to go official in China on September 24th. The new iteration of Xiaomi's custom UI is expected to introduce new polished icons, ultra-power saving mode and more. Now, ahead of the said announcement, Xiaomi accidentally rolled out MIUI 11 to Redmi K20 Pro, Mi MIX 2S and Mi 6, giving us an early chance to check out the new OS. The MIUI 11 tagline reads "empowering the productive." The icons are now more colourful, but since it's still in the development, the shape and size aren't consistent. The design contains empty white spaces and bold text throughout.
The screenshots of the MIUI 11 skin shows off the new lightweight design in the system apps with white backgrounds. Talking about the other features, MIUI 11 brings new cross-device file sharing, for which Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo have teamed up. The always-on display feature now includes the ability to change text colour automatically, the light changes depending on the sunrise/sunset at your location, and shows five different patterns that rotate each time you turn the screen on.
MIUI 11 skin also includes a new 'dynamic sounds' feature, a new Xiaomi community app, a redesigned file manager, the ability to schedule dark mode, and quick replies for third-party messaging apps. The UI will also include the themes app. The closed beta MIUI 11 9.9.9 build was available for a brief period for users to flash, but at this point, we're not sure if it contains all the features of the final version. Since the said launch date is fast approaching, we might learn more information soon.
