“The Moto E6 is expected to debut in the US soon and here are its leaked specifications”
Motorola has been in the news for a foldable RAZR smartphone recently but the company also makes affordable entry-level handsets with the Moto E series. So far, we’ve seen a number of new G series handsets this year but the Moto E series hasn’t been refreshed as of now. The rumour mill is now seeing movement on that front with reports about a Moto E6 smartphone, codenamed ‘Surfna’. Now, to be clear, this report of leaked specifications is from XDA’s Editor-in-Chief Mishaal Rahmaan, who doesn’t usually post leaks. However, if he has posted something, we can be pretty sure that it is legit.
The source states that the upcoming Moto E6 will feature a 32-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC which is an entry-level chipset. The processor will be equipped with 2GB of RAM along with options of 16GB/32GB of built-in storage. In terms of optics, the Moto E6 is likely to have a 13MP f/2.0 S5K3L6 rear camera and a 5MP f/2.0 S5K5E9 front selfie shooter. The battery size, which is a key feature on the Moto E series, isn’t mentioned but the source does indicate a 5.45-inch 720x1440p display although not with complete certainty.
The Moto E6 is expected to launch in the US, as per the tweet but the exact launch dates are not yet known. Last year, Motorola had three variants in the E series and this is just one of them. So, we’re also expecting a Moto E6 Play and Moto E6 Plus. The Moto E5 was announced in May and it seems the leak is right on time for a Moto E6 debut. With regards to price, there’s nothing concrete but we can expect something around the $150 mark considering pricing history.
