Moto G 5G, Moto G9 Power India launch has been tipped and it seems the phones will release in the country soon enough. To recall, Moto G 5G price and specs were announced in Europe earlier this month alongside the Moto G9 Power. Both the devices received the BIS certification as well, suggesting their imminent launch in India. Now, tipster Mukul Sharma (aka @stufflistings) has said that both the Motorola handsets will be making their way to India really soon. While the tipster has not revealed the exact launch date, he has clarified that the phones will not be launched in India this month, which suggests a December release. For those who are unaware, Moto G 5G is an affordable 5G smartphone while the Moto G9 Power is the third model in the Moto G9 series that already consists of the regular Moto G9 (Play) and Moto G9 Plus, both of which have already launched in India.

Moto G 5G and Moto G9 Power prices

Moto G 5G price in Europe is set at EUR 299 (approx Rs 26,150) for the 4GB RAM model, which makes it the brand’s most affordable 5G phone in the market. Moto G9 Power, on the other hand, has been priced in the European market at EUR 199 (approx Rs 17,500) and it comes with 128GB internal storage. We will have to wait for the official launch to find out the Moto G 5G and Moto G9 Power prices in India.

Moto G 5G specifications

Coming to the Moto G 5G specifications, the phone packs a 6.7-inch Max Vision LTPS display with an FHD+ (2400×1080 pixels) screen resolution and HDR10 support. At the helm, you will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset, coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage. For security, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for those of you who still prefer it over facial recognition. On the software side, the phone runs Android 10 out of the box. The Moto G 5G houses a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.

In terms of optics, you are treated to a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 16MP front-facing camera included on the phone as well. Finally, the connectivity options include 5G support, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, Type-C port, and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac.

Moto G9 Power, despite the robust name, is not a premium-end offering from the brand. The phone features a 6.78-inch IPS HD+ display (1,640 X 720 pixels) screen resolution and 264 pixels per inch pixel density. The phone is fuelled by the Snapdragon 662 SoC, coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. As far as optics are concerned, the Moto G9 Power offers a triple-camera setup at the back, consisting of a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video-calling, you get a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.25 aperture.

The Moto G9 Power houses a 6,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support. The connectivity options offered by the phone include 4G LTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and NFC. Out of the box, you get Android 10 OS with a clean stock UI on top with the Moto G9 Power.
