Moto G now getting the Android KitKat update in India

The Android KitKat update is now seeding to Moto G owners in India, brings security improvements and better camera features. As promised on the launch day, Motorola has started rolling out the Android KitKat update for Moto G in India. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the device is 230.7MB in size and is rolling out over-the-air. Earlier this month, the update was rolled out to Indonesian Moto G owners. To download the update, you can go to the Settings > About Phone > System Update > Check Now.

The 4.4.2 OS update brings an updated phone dialler to the device that allows users to look up contacts directly from the dial pad. The updated camera app offers locked exposure during panorama capture, manual focusing and exposure, along with bug fixes. Additionally the update also comes with immersive mode, improved closed captioning, restyled navigation bar, smart power use, security improvements and an updated gallery.

Another major change delivered by the KitKat update to the phone is SMS/MMS support to Hangouts, and users can now set it Hangouts as their default SMS app in the device. Related read: Moto G first impressions
