Just like last year, Motorola has decided to split its stylus-laden Moto G-series handset into two SKUs: the recently-released Moto G Stylus (2022) — equipped with 4G LTE cellular data — and soon, the 5G version as well. The Moto G Stylus 5G (2022), as it’ll be known, will ship in black and seafoam green.
Codenamed Milan 5G (the LTE model was codenamed, you guessed it, Milan 4G), the 2022 G Stylus 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695 5G system-on-chip, whose octa-core CPU (2.0GHz x 2 plus 1.8GHz x 6) is paired with an Adreno 619 GPU. The standard memory configuration consists of 4GB LPDDR4 RAM alongside 128GB onboard storage capacity.
Its 6.78-inch LCD features a Motorola-standard FHD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,460) and 120Hz refresh rate, and contains a centred punch-hole with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Under normal conditions, its brightness maxes out at 450 nits, although a high-brightness mode can boost it up to 650 nits.
As for the rear camera array, expect a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP secondary cam for wide-angle and macro shots, plus a 2MP depth sensor. Besides the USB-C connector, it’s also got a 3.5-millimetre headphone jack. Finally, the Android 12-powered handset — whose stylus tucks into the body of the phone itself — offers one of Motorola’s most capacious batteries, at 5,000mAh.
