Moto G22 specifications leaked
A new set of information was received via a tweet by Nils Ahrensmeier and gives a comprehensive look at the internals of the Moto G22. The leak suggests that the Moto G22 will be powered by the Helio G37 processor from MediaTek. This means the phone will not come with 5G support. The Moto G22 will pair up the processing unit with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The device will offer storage expansion via a microSD card slot.
The Moto G22 will sport a 6.5-inch panel using the IPS LCD display technology. The device will clock a resolution of 1600 x 720 HD resolution and will support a 90Hz high refresh rate. At the back, the Moto G22 will receive a triple camera setup which would consist of – a 50MP (f/1.8) main sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultrawide camera unit with 118-degree FOV, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro or depth sensor. An LED flash will assist the rear camera system. Upfront a 16MP (f/2.45) shooter will take care of selfie duties.
The device will draw power from a 5,000mAh battery pack onboard, however, there is no word on the charging speeds yet. The entire package will weigh in at 185 grams and the device is likely to run on Android 12 out of the box. The render posted by Evan Blass shows off the design of the Moto G22.
The device gets a metal-like side frame with flat sides. The glass on the front and the back panel rounds off into the frame. The triple camera setup and LED flash are housed at the top corner in a vertical orientation and are accentuated by shiny chamfered accents. The right-hand side of the device will house the volume rockers and power button which could double up to become the fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Upfront the full-screen display houses the front camera set up inside a hole punch cut out at the op center. There is a sizeable chin at the bottom. The Moto G22 could be offered in three colorways – White, Iceberg Blue, and Cosmic Black.
The Moto G22 could be priced at around EUR 200 (approx Rs 17,000).
