Motorola launched the new G-series phones, the Moto G62 and Moto G42 earlier this month. Now, it looks like the brand is gearing up to launch the Moto G42 in India soon. This comes after the company had debuted a range of G-series phones, such as the Moto G52, Moto G82 5G, Moto G71 5G, and others in the country. Noted tipster Yogesh Brar claims the Moto G42, which is a 4G offering, will land in India in the first week of July, July 4th to be precise. As said, the Moto G42 is a 4G offering, we can speculate its price should be around Rs 15,000 for the base model. That being said, we’re eager to see if there would any takers of 4G models with a 5G spectrum and possibly rollout around the corner.

Moto G42 sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 2,400 X 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, a punch-hole cutout, and Night Mode for eye protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU for graphics. The phone runs on Android 12-based MyUX custom skin out of the box and packs a 5000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.

Connectivity features include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, Dolby Atmos, stereo speakers, and dual SIM support. It measures 160.4×73.5×7.99 and weighs 174.5 grams.

Moving to optics, Moto G42 houses a triple camera setup at the back, featuring a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide/ depth hybrid lens, and a 2MP micro shooter. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
