Moto G55 renders: design, colours
We have got these Moto G55 renders from our source Sudhanshu who also shared the Moto G55 colours yesterday. The renders show us the Moto G55 green colour variant. The phone is said to come in Grey and Purple options too.
Design-wise, the G55 looks more like the recently-out G45 and is distinct from last year’s G54. For one, the main camera mesa is a seamless part of the rest of the rear surface.
Within the mesa sits two cameras (more on their specs later) and a flashlight module. The back side also has the Motorola logo.
The side frame is flat but tapered around the edges, very much like the Moto G45, but the upcoming phone seems to have a smooth finish. The G45 comes in a vegan leather finish, which should feel different to the touch.
Rest, the G55 appears to have a rather noticeable bezel (especially the chin), a punch hole cutout, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Type-C USB port.
Although the exact chipset model isn’t revealed, one of the images tells us the G55 will run on a MediaTek Dimensity 5G chip. The phone could boot with up to 8GB RAM + RAM Boost (virtual memory) and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 built-in storage. The Indian variant of G54 comes in a 12GB model also.
The back cameras include a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, and Quad PDAF support and an 8MP ultrawide snapper with f/2.2 aperture and macro shooting ability. The front camera is 16MP with f/2.4 aperture. This setup is very comparable to the G54.
Inside, the phone will be also packing a 5,000mAh cell with 30W wired fast charging support. The battery size and charging speed are smaller and slower respectively than the predecessor (Indian variant).
The front display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the phone will support IP54 dust and water resistance. The predecessor (G54) has only an IP52 rating. So, more resistant to water.
The Moto G54 comes with an FHD+ 120Hz LCD panel. Let’s see if the G55 screen gets any upgrade. On the audio side, you are getting Dolby Atmos enhancement, just like the predecessor. That’s all we know for now. Stay tuned for more updates like this!
