“The Moto G6 and G6 Plus are expected to offer dual primary rear cameras and Android Oreo out of the box”
Lenovo-owned Motorola’s upcoming Moto series smartphones – the Moto G6, G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play – have been the subject of a number of leaks and reports lately. Ahead of the official unveiling, we have already seen a handful of press renders of the upcoming Moto phones. Now, an e-commerce portal has revealed the entire specifications and press images of the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus. The source suggests that all three upcoming Moto devices will come with selfie flash and boot Android Oreo out of the box.
Talking about the Moto G6 first, the retailer’s website suggests that the phone will come with a 5.7-inch IPS display bearing an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. The handset is expected to be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, aided by 4GB of RAM. The handset is said to sport 64GB of storage, which will be further expandable up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card. The device has been suggested to come with a dual-camera setup at the rear – 12MP + 5MP, and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. The renders indicate that the phone will offer a front-facing fingerprint sensor.
As for the Moto G6 Plus, the e-tailer indicates that the phone will come with a 5.93-inch 18:9 IPS display with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. The device is said to feature a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, aided by 3GB of RAM. The phone is expected to feature an 8MP selfie snapper, while its rear camera setup is said to be the same as the one on Moto G6. The other tipped specifications include 32GB of expandable storage, a front-facing fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 3,200mAh battery.
Coming to the Moto G6 Play, the retailer’s listing suggests that the handset will feature a fingerprint sensor at rear, which will be placed below the Moto dimple. The phone is said to arrive with a 5.7-inch IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm processor of unknown make, aided by 2GB of RAM. The other tipped specs include 16GB of expandable storage, a 12MP rear camera, a 5MP front shooter, and a beefy 4,000mAh battery.
Notably, the Hungarian retailer’s listings haven’t revealed anything about the price of the upcoming Moto G series smartphones. However, a separate report has indicated that the Moto G6 will cost $250 (~Rs 16,300), while the Moto G6 Play will be released for $200 (~Rs 13,000). The brand is expected to officially launch the phones later this month, so stay tuned.
