“The new Moto G6 Plus/ G6S Plus is expected to have thin bezels and a taller display”
Earlier this year, the Lenovo-owned Motorola introduced the all-new Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus smartphones. Now it appears that the company is all set to add a new member to the G-series family, as live images of a new Moto smartphone have surfaced online. While the phone in the leaked images is said to be the Moto G6 Plus, we presume that it could be the Moto G6S Plus — a successor to last year’s Moto G5S Plus smartphone.
As seen in the images, the new Moto smartphone can be expected to come with visibly thin bezels and a tall screen. It looks like the display will have a tiny notch up top to house the selfie camera, just like the one on the OPPO F9/ F9 Pro handsets. The upcoming device won’t be the first Moto smartphone with a notch, as the company has already released the notch-bearing Motorola P30 in China.
The “About Phone” section as per the leaked images shows the handset’s name as the “Moto g(6) plus”. However, at the bottom of the screen, the model and hardware name reads “moto g4”. Hence the name of the device is unclear as of now, but what we do know is that the phone will have dual-SIM support.
Moving on, the second image shows the alleged Moto G6 Plus in a shiny red colour. It seems like the rear panel will have a glass finish and a familiar bump in the centre for the dual cameras and LED flash. Moreover, the Moto G6 Plus might flaunt a fingerprint sensor under the Moto logo like the one on the Motorola P30.
The specs of the smartphone are as much a mystery as its name. We’ll bring you more updates on this new Moto G6 Plus smartphone as and when we get some more details ourselves.
