“Motorola seems to be planning to launch a new model of the Moto G6 Plus in the near future”
In April this year, Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its latest Moto G series devices in the form of the Moto G6, G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play, all carrying 18:9 displays. The Moto G6 Plus is the most high-end offering among the trio. The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC and 4GB of RAM. Now it appears that the brand is planning to launch a new upgraded variant of the Moto G6 Plus in the near future.
91mobiles has obtained the live images of the possible new variant of the Moto G6 Plus. As per the leaked photos, the new Moto G6 Plus variant could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, aided by 6GB of RAM, as compared to 4GB of RAM on its Snapdragon 630 SoC counterpart. The storage capacity on board the new variant will be 64GB, just like the other model. The new Moto G6 Plus could carry the model number XT1926-5, and one of its variants could also offer 128GB of storage.
Apart from a better processor, and higher RAM and storage, the upcoming new Moto G6 Plus is expected to offer the same specs as the earlier variant. The recently launched handset offers a 5.7-inch 18:9 display with full HD+ resolution. The phone gets a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup at the rear with Dual Pixel autofocus and an 8MP front shooter. The other highlights include a fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock functionality, Android Oreo, and a 3,200mAh battery.
There’s no word regarding the pricing of the upcoming Moto G6 Plus at the moment. However, we will update you as soon as we hear anything officially, so stay tuned to 91mobiles for more details.
