Moto G62 India launch date, specifications revealed; Flipkart listing goes live

Moto G62 will launch in India on August 11th, as confirmed by the company officially. Like with all Moto phones, it will be sold via Flipkart and there’s a dedicated microsite on the platform that reveals some key hardware details. The Moto G62 will have support for 12 5G bands, making it 5G ready when it launches sometime this year. The handset ships with a 120Hz FHD+ display, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, 50MP triple cameras and a 5000mAh battery.

The handset originally debuted back in June as a budget segment phone. While the global version of the phone came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+, the Indian variant of the Moto G62 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset.

Moto G62 price in India (expected)

The Moto G62 price in India is said to be between Rs 15,000 and Rs 17,000. This means it will be placed below the Moto G82.

Moto G62 sports a 6.52-inch FHD+ display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cutout. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable up to 1TB. The handset boots Android 12 out of the box.

Moto G62 is equipped with an IP52 rating, Dolby Atmos, stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ AGPS, NFC.

Moving to optics, the Moto G62 features triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle / depth camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There is a 16MP snapper on the front with an f/2.45 aperture for selfies and video chats.
