Lenovo-owned Motorola has unleashed its latest smartphone the Moto G7, alongside the Motorola One in India. The latter is an Android One offering that means it’ll get timely software updates directly from Google. As for the Moto G7, the handset comes as a successor to the last year’s Moto G6 smartphone and sports edge-to-edge display with a small cut-out up top and dual camera module at the back panel. The Motorola One is from last year and comes months after the Motorola One Power launched in India, even though they were both unveiled globally at the same time.
Moto G7, Motorola One price in India
The Moto G7 price in India is set at Rs 16,999 for the lone 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The Motorola One, on the other hand, will set you back to Rs 13,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option. Both the handsets come in clear white and ceramic black colour options and will be available for sale only on Flipkart and leading retail stores across the country starting March 25th onwards.
Moto G7, Motorola One specifications
The Moto G7 was originally announced last month along with Moto G7 Play, Moto G7 Power (already been launched in India), and Moto G7 Plus in Brazil. The handset ships with a 6.24-inch full-HD+ Max Vision display a waterdrop notch up top. At its core lies Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 632 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be further expandable using a microSD card. The rear panel of the phone has 3D Gorilla Glass curved design with a camera hump in the middle and fingerprint sensor just below.
In the camera department, the Moto G7 boasts of 12-megapixel (f/1.8) + 5-megapixel (f/2.2) sensors with 1.25-micron pixel size on the back, with dual LED flash and software optimisations for enhanced images. Its front camera gets an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture lens for selfies and video calling. The phone boots Android 9 Pie out of the box and houses a 3,000mAh battery with fast-charging support.
As for the Motorola One, it’s the second Android One smartphone from the vendor (first, Motorola One Power) in the country. The handset dons a glass body frames with 5.9-inch 19:9 Max Vision HD+ display. It’s driven by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC, which is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
In optics, the Motorola One rocks 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensors on the rear with LED flash and features such as Google Lens, portrait, cinemagraph, and time-lapse modes. On the front is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. A 3,000mAh battery fuels the handset and Android 9 Pie takes care of the software side of things.
