“The Moto G7 Play is expected to be launched by the brand next month in an event to be held in Brazil”
Motorola is all set to launch the next-generation Moto G7 series in February at an event to be held in Brazil. However, ahead of the launch, the Moto G7 series has been in the news a lot thanks to early rumours and speculations. The smartphone maker is expected to launch Moto G7 Play, Moto G7 Power, Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus. Ahead of the launch event, the low-end Moto G7 Play has been spotted on the popular benchmarking website – Geekbench.
The Geekbench listing of the smartphone has it listed as the Motorola Moto g(7) play, so there is no mistaking. The Geekbench listing reveals that the most affordable of the Moto G7 series will come with Snapdragon 625 SoC ticking at its core to drive the performance. The chipset is further backed by 2-gigs of RAM, which indicates that this is indeed the low-end model of the line-up. It’s being speculated that the 2GB model will come with 16GB storage and there will be another 3GB + 32GB variant. The handset is also seen running the latest Android 9.0 Pie. The G7 Play scores 1,173 points in single core and 4,090 points in multi core test.
As for the spec sheet, the Moto G7 Play is expected to come with a 6-inch display, however, the resolution is unknown at this point. The smartphone is expected to come with a stock Android interface and will be powered by a moderate 3,000mAh battery. While the high-end variants will likely feature dual camera module, the Moto G7 Play is expected to have a single camera on the rear, details of which are not known at the moment. Unfortunately, no other details of the smartphone are known at the moment.
Anyhow, we don’t have to wait for long since the brand is set to unveil the series in February. We will update more details as and when they appear, so stay tuned.
