“The Moto G7 Play is speculated to be launched at the MWC next year alongside Moto G7 and G7 Plus”
Motorola has been in the news lately for rumours and speculations surrounding its next-gen Moto G-series smartphones. The phonemaker is speculated to launch the Moto G7 along with the G7 Play and G7 Plus. Now, in yet another leak, the Moto G7 Play has been spotted on the website of FCC (Federal Communications Commission, a US regulatory commission.
Along with the smartphone listing, the website also put up a number of live images of the smartphone, giving us our first glimpse of the Moto G7 Play. The series of images reveal the fascia, back panel, schematics and the battery. While the live image of the front panel doesn’t reveal anything about the display, the schematic shows that the handset will come with a display notch. The image also reveals that the handset will have fingerprint scanner placed on the back and from the back panel render, we can make out that it will be embedded in the signature batwing logo of the brand. Further, the display notch is shown housing the selfie camera, earpiece and a dedicated selfie LED flash.
Moving on to the other images, one of the pictures shows the motherboard of the handset with Snapdragon 632 clearly mentioned on it. The chipset is one of the newest from Qualcomm and is an octa-core unit with with clock speed unto 1.8GHz. The processor is further backed by Adreno 506 GPU. Apart from this, the images reveal features like a 2,820mAh battery, single camera module on the rear, microSD, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. We can also see two colourways – black and silver in the picture, however, Motorola might have more colours planned for the handset.
As of now, nothing concrete is known about the G7 Play and we suggest taking this bit of information with a pinch of salt. Expect more information about the smartphone to pop up in the coming days.
