“The Moto G7 Play and G7 Power will get iPhone-like notch display while the G7 and G7 Plus will have a waterdrop notch.”
The new Motorola G7 series is expected to be officially unveiled next month at an event to be held in Brazil. However, ahead of the official reveal, some new information have surfaced, giving us more insights on the European pricing, along with some leaked press renders. The pricing has been revealed and the renders have been spotted by MySmartPrice.
The base variant in the G7 series, the Moto G7 Play, will be available at EUR 149 (~Rs 12,000) and will be sold in two colour options – Blue and Gold. Motorola will make huge leaps to follow the latest trend in the smartphone world with a notch display. However, the notch will be slightly bigger (like the iPhone X). It will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC. The rear camera, however, will have a single lens along with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Moto G7 Power, as the name suggests, will have a huge 5,000mAh battery, besides being fast charging-enabled. It will have the same notch display and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as the G7 Play. And at its heart, it will have the processor laid on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. It can be availed in Lilac Purple and Black colour options and will have a price tag of EUR 209 (~Rs 17,000).
The standard Moto G7 will be available in White and Black colour options and will exhibit the trending water-drop notch. Hence, the leap over the conventional bezel display will improve the screen-to-body ratio significantly. The rear section is expected to have a dual camera setup within the signature round cluster. It is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC.
And lastly, the Moto G7 Plus, the top-of-the-line variant in the G7 series will be available in Blue and Red colour options. Besides this, it is expected to carry the same design from the standard G7, though some better features might be on the cards. All the smartphones in the upcoming G7 series will have a thick bezel at the bottom with “Motorola” inscribed on it. The mentioned pricing is expected to be effective for most of the countries in Europe.
