“Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus leaked prices suggest the two device will be released at a significant premium over their respective predecessors”
Motorola is gearing up to unveil the Moto G7 series, and the leaks just come pouring out. We brought to you exclusive live images of the Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus over the last few days. Now, the prices of the two smartphones have been leaked online by tipster Ishan Agarwal, revealing the two handsets will be more expensive than their respective predecessors by a significant margin.
These two handsets will be the more premium models in the Moto G7 quartet this year, which includes the Moto G7 Play and Moto G7 Power as the affordable models. The Moto G7 price has been tipped as €300 (roughly Rs 24,300) which is €50 (about Rs 4,000) more than last year’s Moto G6. And the Moto G7 Plus looks set to retail for an exorbitant €360 (approximately Rs 29,000). That’s a €60 (around Rs 4,700) premium over the Moto G6 Plus if the tipster’s sources are on point.
With this latest reveal, most Moto G series fans would be happy if this is proven wrong. Also, Indian prices are usually lower than those in Europe, but that might not be of any help in this case since the two handsets will still remain too expensive in the hyper-competitive market of India.
For the extra buck, the Moto G7 will offer bigger 6.24-inch displays with a notch, 3,000mAh batteries and Android Pie. As far as storage and RAM are concerned, both the models tipped here will get 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. In terms of camera, there’s a duo of 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel shooters on the rear, while the Snapdragon 632 chip keeps everything running. The only upgrades brought by the Moto G7 Plus are the SoC and the primary camera. It will reportedly have the Snapdragon 636 SoC and a 16-megapixel primary rear camera.
Previous leaked information has revealed that that the Moto G7 Play and Moto G7 Power will be priced €149 (about Rs 12,000) and €209 (roughly Rs 17,000), respectively. The Moto G7 series launch is set for February 7th at an event in Brazil. According to a report, the series is set to arrive in India in April 2019.
