Motorola has launched quite a few G-series phones since the beginning of the year. It is reportedly gearing up to unveil another G-series model, the Moto G72. It has been spotted on multiple certification platforms recently, including the FCC, TDRA, and IMEI databases globally. The same has also bagged the BIS certification, which is a good indication to suggest the phone will launch in the country. Now, Moto G72 launch timeline and key specifications have been revealed, courtesy of Pricebaba. The handset will arrive as a successor to the Moto G71.
The report mentions the Moto G72 will be a 4G offering and not a 5G enabled handset. The Indian variant has a “Victoria22” codename, and model number is XT2255-2, the same model that was spotted on the BIS certification.

The Moto G72 Indian variant has a “Victoria22” codename. It will be powered by a new unannounced MediaTek SoC or the Helio G37 chipset that should offer moderate performance. The chipset will be paired with 6GB/8GB RAM and there’s 4GB virtual RAM support as well. It is said to get a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
Moving to optics, the Moto G72 is said to get triple cameras on the back, with a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary lens and a 2MP camera. On the front, it could get a 16MP selfie shooter. While the report doesn’t mention anything about the price, it could be placed somewhere around Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000 based on the model.
