Motorola Razr (2019) was the company’s first-ever foldable phone and comes with a clam-shell design and ships with mid-range specifications. Now, it looks like Motorola is all set to announce Moto Razr 2 on September 9th as the company has started sending out invites for an event. However, instead of Moto Razr 2, it will reportedly be marketed as Moto Razr 5G. While the invite teaser image doesn’t explicitly mention Moto Razr 5G or any other name for that matter, DroidLife reports the invite description reads “getting ready to flip the smartphone experience once again.” The second-generation Moto Razr foldable phone could come with Snapdragon 765G SoC and have 5G connectivity.

Alleged images of the Moto Razr 5G leaked earlier this month and showed off some design changes. The outer display seems to be relatively bigger, the camera module has a new design and the front-facing fingerprint sensor gets a new placement. The phone will finally get physical nano-SIM support, instead of just eSIM. While it’s not confirmed, key specifications of the Motorola’s upcoming foldable phone include 48MP primary camera and a 20MP selfie snapper on the front. It is said to pack 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and packs a 2,845mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.

Moto Razr 2019 specifications

To recall the Moto Razr (2019) specifications, it ships with a 6.2-inch Flex View foldable pOLED display with 21:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer. There is a 2.7-inch second quick view display with 4:3 aspect ratio and 600 X 800 pixels resolution. It is powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone boots Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The Moto Razr (2019) features a single 16MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture, EIS, Dual Pixel, laser autofocus, and dual-LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP snapper for selfies and video chats. The Moto Razr (2019) packs a 2,510mAh battery with 15W TurboPower charging support. There is a fingerprint sensor for security and eSIM support.
