The Moto Razr will go on sale in India on May 6th, the company has announced in a statement. The foldable smartphone was originally supposed to go on sale on April 2nd, which was then postponed to April 15th i.e today. However, with the coronavirus lockdown in India now being extended till May 3rd, Motorola has been forced to delay the release of the Moto Razr. The Moto Razr 2019 was announced in India last month on March 16th. It brings back the ironing flip phone design of the original Razr phone, but with a flexible display that opens and folds like a clamshell. The Moto Razr will take on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip in India when it goes on sale on May 6th.

Moto Razr 2019 price in India has been set at Rs 1,24,999, which is quite premium considering the phone’s mid-range internals. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip has been launched at Rs 1,09,999 while packing flagship-grade specifications. 

During the announcement last month, the company mentioned some launch offers on the Moto Razr such as Rs 10,000 cashback on purchasing the device using Citibank debit and credit card and Jio double data offer on Rs 4,999 recharge.

Moto Razr sports a 6.2-inch Flex View pOLED display that can fold up like a clamshell. It offers an HD+ 876×2,142 pixels resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio, and a wide notch. There is a secondary 2.7-inch Quick View display on the cover that offers a 600 × 800 pixels resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio. The Moto Razr 2019 is powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box instead of Android 10. 

The Moto Razr gets a 16MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, EIS, laser autofocus, and dual-LED flash. It gets a secondary 5MP camera on the front for selfies. The handset houses a 2,510mAh battery and support 15W fast charging. Connectivity options include eSIM support, USB-C, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC, among others.
