“The Z3 Play is expected to come with a 6-inch, 18:9 display and Snapdragon 636 SoC”
Lenovo-owned brand, Motorola launched its Moto G6, G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play in Brazil last month. At the same event, the brand also unveiled its fifth-generation Moto E-series smartphones – the Moto E5, Moto E5 Play, and Moto E5 Plus. Now, the handset maker has sent out media invites for a launch event to be held in Brazil on June 6th. It’s expected that Motorola will launch its Moto Z3 Play, which has been leaked a number of times in the past.
The media invite from the brand shows a woman holding a smartphone in her hand, with the text on the phone reading, ‘save the date, 06.06.18′. If we take the time on the smartphone into account, the event is expected to start at 9:30am BRT, which is 6pm Indian time. However, no further information has been revealed by the invite image.
To recap on the rumoured specs of the handset, the Moto Z3 Play is expected to come with a 6-inch AMOLED MaxVision display flaunting an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a full HD+ resolution. In the performance department, the smartphone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 636 processor. The chipset will be further backed by 6GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB storage depending on the variant. The dual-camera module on the rear panel is expected to have a 12MP primary sensor accompanied by an 8MP secondary shooter. As for selfies, the phone is likely to ship with a 5-megapixel front camera. A 3,000mAh battery completes the speculated spec sheet.
A previous report has also revealed that the brand is planning to launch four modular accessories alongside the phone – Moto Z “Power” Edition, Moto Z “Style” Edition, Moto Z “Gamepad” Edition, and Moto Z “Projection” Edition. We will bring you more accurate information on June 6th as the event unfurls, so stay tuned.
