Moto Edge 60 Fusion vs Realme P3 Pro performance comparison: which latest mid-ranger has more power?

The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion (review) is the newest offering from the brand under Rs 25,000. The handset is powered by a capable MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC, but does it make the most powerful smartphone for the price? To find that out, we decided to stack the smartphone against the performance-oriented Realme P3 Pro (review), which is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, which is the same SoC we have seen on the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, iQOO Z10, and others.

Both smartphones were put through synthetic benchmark tests and gaming, and the results are as follows:

Verdict

The Realme P3 Pro comes on top in synthetic benchmarks such as Geekbench and AnTuTu tests, while the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion performs slightly better in gaming and thermal performance.

Geekbench

Geekbench tests the single-core and multi-core capabilities of a smartphone’s processor by running a series of simple and heavy tasks in the background and comes up with an overall score. Here’s how the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and Realme P3 Pro fared in the test:

realme P3 Pro
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion
MediaTek Dimensity 7400
1,050
Geekbench single-core score Geekbench assesses the efficiency of the CPU's single and multiple cores (higher is better)

3,309
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion
MediaTek Dimensity 7400
3,050
Geekbench multi-core score Geekbench assesses the efficiency of the CPU's single and multiple cores (higher is better)

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 on the Realme P3 Pro performs better than the Dimensity 7400 present on the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, but the difference isn’t huge, especially in terms of single-core performance.

Real-world context: During regular and casual usage, both phones have enough prowess to provide a reliable experience when opening apps, multitasking, browsing web pages, and more. The differences lie in the software skins, where the Edge 60 Fusion comes with Hello UI, while the Realme P3 Pro runs on Realme UI 6. Both skins were fast and snappy in our usage.

Winner: Realme P3 Pro

AnTuTu

AnTuTu is a synthetic benchmark app that gauges a device’s performance capabilities in areas like CPU, GPU, Memory, and User Experience (UX). An AnTuTu test puts an intense load on the phones by stimulating 3D environments, reading and writing data in the memory, and processing tons of data to analyse the UX.

AnTuTu score AnTuTu assesses a smartphone's CPU, GPU, memory, and overall user experience (higher is better)

In the AnTuTu benchmark, the Realme P3 Pro edges out its Motorola rival, but the gap isn’t substantial enough to translate into noticeably better performance in demanding tasks like gaming or video rendering.

Real-world context: Even though the Realme P3 Pro edges out the Moto Edge 50 Fusion on AnTuTu by delivering a better score, both smartphones should be able to breeze through multiple apps and even casual games just fine. Both smartphones should also offer a smooth scrolling experience for their price range.

Winner: Realme P3 Pro

CPU throttle

To test how the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and Realme P3 Pro perform under excessive performance load, we ran the CPU throttle test on both handsets to analyse their peak performance capabilities and how long they can sustain the stress before showing signs of struggle.

Motorola Edge 60 Fusion

realme P3 Pro

Burnout Score Burnout assesses CPU throttling and sustained performance under heavy load (higher is better)

The Moto Edge 60 Fusion achieved a score of 59.60 percent in the CPU throttle test conducted using the Burnout app. This means the smartphone can retain its peak performance for a longer duration than the Realme P3 Pro. Our stats also show that the Moto phone didn’t cross 37 degrees Celsius, while the Realme P3 Pro touched 46 degrees Celsius.

Real-world context: In real-world usage, the Realme P3 Pro could heat more when running heavy tasks such as video rendering or playing games at the maximum graphical settings and also see a quick drop in performance compared to the Edge 60 Fusion. The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion will be more efficient in such scenarios.

Gaming test

FPS performance

Average FPS during 30 minutes of gameplay (higher is better)

For our gaming test, we played popular titles, such as COD: Mobile, Real Racing 3, and BGMI, on both handsets at the nominal graphics settings for 30 minutes each.

Real Racing 310.9-degree Celsius8.1-degree Celsius
BGMI 5-degree Celsius7-degree Celsius

The Moto Edge 60 Fusion offered better average FPS in COD: Mobile and Real Racing 3 while delivering just 0.3 average FPS less than the Realme P3 Pro, which is a negligible difference. As for the thermal performance, the Realme P3 Pro stayed cooler in COD: Mobile and Real Racing 3, which is understandable as it didn’t achieve frame rates as high as the Edge 60 Fusion.

Real-world context: The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion will perform better in high-end games while seeing a slight rise in temperatures compared to the Realme P3 Pro. But if you value higher FPS over the thermals, the Moto smartphone will be the better pick here.

Winner: Motorola Edge 60 Fusion

Final Verdict

It turns out the Realme P3 Pro excels with respectable numbers on benchmark apps such as Geekbench and AnTuTu, where it achieved better scores than the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. But when it comes to gaming and thermal management, the Motorola Edge 60 delivered superior results, as it offered slightly higher average FPS in games and maintained lower temperatures.

Even though the Moto Edge 60 Fusion was better in gaming, the Realme P3 Pro wasn’t behind by a large margin. While gamers can consider the Edge 60 Fusion, the P3 Pro has its advantages, such as a bigger 6,000mAh battery, faster 80W charging, and better raw performance. The Realme smartphone is selling in India at Rs 23,999 for its base variant, while the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion can be yours for as low as Rs 22,999.
