After releasing the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion (review) and Edge 60 Stylus (review) in India in recent weeks, Motorola is back with yet another Edge 60 series phone under Rs 30,000. This one is the Motorola Edge 60 Pro, which touts a curved pOLED display, a robust camera setup, and impressive performance – all at a price of Rs 29,999. The phone is now on sale in India, and after spending some time with the device, here are our first impressions.
The Edge 60 Pro immediately catches the eye with its 6.7-inch 1.5K Super HD quad-curved pOLED display. The screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Initial impressions of the display are quite positive. The curved screen looks fantastic, with punchy colours and deep blacks. We’ll have more to share on the display’s performance while consuming media and under various brightness settings in our full review.

Under the hood, the Edge 60 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme SoC, paired with a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU. It comes in two configurations: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. Out of the box, the device felt smooth while navigating the UI and launching apps. Stay tuned for our full review, where we’ll delve deeper into its day-to-day and gaming performance.
The smartphone features a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP OIS main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. On the front, there’s a 50MP selfie camera. While we’ve yet to thoroughly test the cameras, the on-paper specs are promising and suggest a versatile imaging experience.

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro houses a sizeable 6,000mAh battery, which should comfortably deliver over a day of usage on a single charge. Of course, we’ll be able to confirm this after extended use. For charging, the device supports 90W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging—a robust offering in this price bracket.
Running on Android 15-based Hello UI, the Edge 60 Pro provides a clean and intuitive software experience. Motorola is promising three years of OS updates and four years of security patches. The device also comes with a complimentary three-month subscription to Perplexity Pro and Gemini Advanced, including 2TB of cloud storage. Additionally, Microsoft Copilot is integrated via Moto AI, enhancing productivity. Out of the box, the Edge 60 Pro offers a bloat-free UI with little to no pre-loaded apps.
The Edge 60 Pro also boasts IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, MIL-STD 810H-certified durability, and features like Aqua Touch and an anti-fingerprint coating to improve day-to-day usability.
While we’ll have more to share in our full review, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro already looks like a strong contender in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment. With a mix of premium features, solid performance, and AI enhancements, Motorola seems to have crafted a device that punches well above its weight. We’ll reserve final judgement until we’ve spent more time with it.
