
Motorola Edge 60 Pro was launched in India in April 2025 as an upper midrange successor to the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. The Edge 60 Pro brings a 50MP triple camera setup, a 6,000mAh battery, Mediatek Dimensity 8350 Extreme SoC and an IP69 rating. Another Pro-branded phone with a 50MP triple camera system, and the same battery size as well as IP rating is the Realme 14 Pro+.
The Realme phone launched at the beginning of this year and can still give strong competition to the Edge 60 Pro. The first thing one would notice is the difference in their appearance. The Motorola Edge 60 Pro has a squircle camera island on the back, while the Realme 14 Pro+ sports a circular rear camera island.
Motorola offers its phone in leather-inspired or nylon-inspired finishes and Pantone-validated colours. Realme also offers its phone in a vegan leather finish, but the most promoted design is the pearl design, which can change in cold temperatures. Realme claims the back panel has thermochromic pigments that can transition from pearl white to vibrant blue when exposed to temperatures below 16°C.
While both phones are similarly thick, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is lighter.

Although the Realme 14 Pro+ has a taller display, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro offers more screen real estate (92.2 percent vs 89.7 percent screen to body ratio). This could be because the Motorola phone has a more curved display.
Motorola claims the Edge 60 Pro display is Pantone-validated for accurate colours and skin tones. It also supports HDR10+ content.
As for legibility, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro flaunts up to 4,500 nits peak brightness while the Realme 14 Pro+ can hit up to 1,500 nits of local peak brightness. Both offer similar pixel density and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro and Realme 14 Pro+ are powered by two different 4nm chipsets capable of offering upper mid-range performance. However, they differ in architecture, clock speeds, and GPU capabilities.
Motorola Edge 60 Pro’s MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme chip offers a higher clock speed of 3.35GHz versus a 2.4GHz Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC inside the Realme 14 Pro+. Similarly, the Motorola phone packs a faster Mali-G615 MP6 GPU than the Adreno 720 GPU inside the Realme phone.

Motorola Edge 60 Pro vs Realme 14 Pro+: cameras
Both phones have 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1/1.56″ sensor size, 1.0µm pixel size, multi-directional PDAF, and OIS.
Meanwhile, the Realme phone has a much higher resolution 50MP telephoto lens with a 1/1.95″ sensor compared to the Motorola phone’s 10MP telephoto lens with 1/3.94″ sensor.
On the other hand, the Motorola phone has a higher resolution 50MP ultrawide shooter with 120˚ field of view compared to the Realme phone’s 8MP ultrawide snapper with 112˚ field of view. The Motorola phone also sports PDAF for autofocus, which the Realme phone lacks.
Although we mentioned the Motorola Edge 60 Pro has a triple rear camera setup, the phone also includes a fourth auxiliary sensor dubbed a multispectral 3-in-1 sensor for exposure, auto white balance and flicker. Also, like its display, Motorola boasts Pantone-validated colours and skin tones from its rear camera software.

While both phones carry a 6,000mAh battery, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro is equipped with a slightly faster 90W (PD3.0) wired charging support compared to the 80W charging speed on the Realme 14 Pro+.
The Motorola phone also comes with 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wired charging support. Realme phone lacks these features.

Both phones boot Android 15 but differ in terms of the UI offered by their respective skins. Motorola’s Hello UI is closer to stock Android compared to the more feature-rich Realme UI.
