Geekbench
Geekbench analyses the single-core and multi-core capabilities of a smartphone’s processor. It runs multiple simple and heavy tasks in the background that put intense stress on the phones. The Motorola Edge 60 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ performed as follows:
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro performs better than the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ in the Geekbench test by delivering higher single-core and multi-core scores, indicating superior raw performance for light and heavy tasks.
Real-world context: Based on the Geekbench scores, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro should be a better performer when it comes to opening and loading games, running heavy video rendering or multitasking. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ may also deal in such tasks but not as quickly as the Motorola Edge 60 Pro.
Winner: Motorola Edge 60 Pro
AnTuTu
AnTuTu is a benchmarking app that identifies a device’s performance in areas like CPU, GPU, Memory, and User Experience (UX). It does this by running and rendering 3D environments, reading and writing data in memory, and opening and viewing various demo programmes to analyse the UX.
Similar to Geekbench, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro outperforms the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ in the AnTuTu benchmark, indicating faster operations when loading and installing apps and producing better graphics and details in games, especially high-end ones.
Real-world context: With a higher AnTuTu score, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro will launch and load apps and graphically demanding games faster than the Redmi smartphone. The Motorola smartphone also benefits from faster transfers of large files.
Winner: Motorola Edge 60 Pro
CPU throttle
The CPU throttling test in the Burnout app evaluates how well a smartphone handles sustained heavy workloads. It pushes the device to its limits to measure how long it can maintain peak performance before thermal stress causes a drop in frame rates.
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro scored 55.6 percent in the CPU throttling test, showcasing better sustained performance under continuous load compared to the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, however, there isn’t a stark difference. In terms of thermal output, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ recorded a lower temperature of 40.4 degrees Celsius, which was 3.5 degrees cooler than the Edge 60 Pro.
Real-world context: In activities like video editing, video recording, and playing high-end games, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro may heat up more, but it will offer slightly better, consistent performance with higher frame rates than the Redmi Note 14 Pro+.

Gaming test
Average FPS during 30 minutes of gameplay (higher is better)
For our gaming test, we played popular titles, such as COD: Mobile, Real Racing 3, and BGMI, on both handsets at the nominal graphics settings for 30 minutes each.
Game | Game settings (graphics + frames) | Motorola Edge 60 Pro | Redmi Note 14 Pro+ |
COD: Mobile | High + Max | 59.6 | 50.9 |
Real Racing 3 | Standard | 110.3 | 57.4 |
BGMI | HDR + Ultra | 36.9 | 37.5 |
Thermal performance
Temperature increase after 30 minutes of gaming (lower is better)
Game | Motorola Edge 60 Pro | Redmi Note 14 Pro+ |
COD: Mobile | 7.2 degree Celsius | 6.6 degree Celsius |
Real Racing 3 | 4.3 degree Celsius | 2.7 degree Celsius |
BGMI | 5.9 degree Celsius | 8.2 degree Celsius |
The Motorola Edge 60 Pro delivered higher average FPS in Call of Duty: Mobile and Real Racing 3. However, in BGMI, it managed only 0.6 FPS on average, falling short of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+. In terms of thermal performance, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ maintained lower temperatures during both Call of Duty: Mobile and Real Racing 3 sessions.
Real-world context: Real-world gaming results show that the Motorola Edge 60 Pro consistently delivers higher frame rates in Call of Duty: Mobile and Real Racing 3. In BGMI, its average frame rates were only slightly behind those of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+. Although the Redmi device recorded lower temperatures in two of the tested games, the Edge 60 Pro still demonstrated solid thermal efficiency, with overall device temperatures remaining below 35 degrees Celsius across all titles. Lower temperatures ensure that no overheating is caused in long durations of gameplay.
Winner: Motorola Edge 60 Pro
Final Verdict
Both the Motorola Edge 60 Pro and the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ are priced at Rs 29,999, but bear different chipsets. The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme on Edge 60 Pro is a better performer than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 present on the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, be it on paper, synthetic benchmarks, or real-world usage like in games.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has a slight edge in thermal control, where it doesn’t exhibit as high temperatures as the Motorola Edge 60 Pro in the Burnout test and certain games. That said, the Motorola smartphone doesn’t get uncomfortably warm. So if you’re looking for a reliable performer under Rs 30,000, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro should be your pick
