Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has launched in India as the most premium offering in the lineup yet. It joins the existing Motorola Edge 70, Edge 70 Fusion, and Edge 70 Pro. In some ways, it’s an upgrade over the Edge 70 Pro, offering a periscope telephoto lens, which the Pro model lacks. The Edge 70 Pro+ is also the first Pro+ model to join the lineup. With a price above Rs 45,000, it now sits in a more premium category, a first for the Edge series.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is priced at Rs 47,999 for the sole memory configuration with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The handset comes in three Pantone finishes: Chicory Coffee, Zinfandel, and Stormy Sea. The first sale for the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is set to take place on June 11th at 12 pm via Flipkart, Motorola.in, and leading retail stores. Motorola is offering a bank cashback offer of Rs 3,000 or through exchange deals and EMI options.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ features a 6.8-inch 1.5K ‘Extreme AMOLED display’ with a 144Hz refresh rate, 5,200 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The display experience should be vibrant and immersive for both multimedia and gaming. Under the hood of the phone runs the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The Edge 70 Pro uses the same chipset and has proven to offer one of the best performances in the segment. We can expect a similar experience from the Edge 70 Pro+. The phone also gets a 4600mm2 vapour chamber for heat dissipation.
The Edge 70 Pro+ has a 50MP quad-camera setup. This includes a 50MP Sony LYT-710 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus, a 50MP periscope lens offering 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP front camera with autofocus support. Motorola is also adding support for AI-powered Super Zoom Pro up to 50x, although the results may not be as detailed. The phone also supports 4K video recording at 60 fps from all lenses, video HDR, auto macro vision, and AI-enhanced low-light imaging support. With this camera setup, the Edge 70 Pro+ will compete with rivals like the Realme 16 Pro+.
The new Motorola handset gets a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. This battery capacity should provide a day’s power comfortably and even more with light usage. The addition of wireless charging gives the phone a slight edge over rivals. On the software front, the Edge 70 Pro+ runs Android 16 out of the box with 3 OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches promised. Motorola phones offer a clean and near-stock Android experience with a bunch of AI features tailored for personal and professional use.
For durability, the Edge 70 Pro+ comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, and MIL-810H military standard. It’s also equipped with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Spatial Audio for an immersive listening experience.

Since we haven’t reviewed the Edge 70 Pro+ yet, it’s too early to give a definitive buying recommendation. However, based on its specifications, Motorola’s premium mid-range phone looks well-rounded on paper. It brings a versatile camera setup, a sizeable battery, a capable chipset, and a slim, premium-looking design. It may not be a chart-topping device in any one area, but it seems to cover the essentials well.
At this stage, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ looks like a promising option for users who want a sleek phone with dependable performance, good battery life, a periscope camera, and a clean Android experience.
