“Motorola is hosting the launch event at its headquarters in Chicago on August 2nd”
Motorola recently posted a new teaser video hinting at the product launch event to be held at its Chicago headquarters on August 2nd. The handset maker has already launched Moto G6 (review), G6 Plus, Moto G6 Play, Moto E5, Moto E5 Play, Moto E5 Plus and Moto Z3 Play, this year. It is now being speculated that the handset maker might actually launch the flagship – Moto Z3 at the said event.
However, the 11-second-long teaser video shared by the brand doesn’t reveal any details apart from the date, time and venue of the event. Motorola will be hosting the event 2PM local time on the said date. While the video itself doesn’t reveal anything, the caption reads, “Mark your calendar. On August 2, we’re making a big announcement at Motorola’s HQ in Chicago. Say “hello” to a whole new way to connect, stream, download, video chat and more. Are you ready?”
The key words to focus on here are, “a whole new way to connect.” This could either mean a whole new Android smartphone like the much rumoured Motorola One Power, which is speculated to be an Android One smartphone. However, Moto Z3 is more likely since its predecessor, Moto Z2 Force was announced at a similar event last year in July. Further, there are speculations that the upcoming event might see the launch of both these smartphones. However, nothing concrete is known at this point in time.
We suggest taking this bit of information with a fair dose of scepticism at the moment. We will bring you more accurate details on August 2nd when the brand goes official, so stay tuned.
