Moto G6, G6 Plus and G6 Play appear in new leaked renders

“The upcoming Moto G6 and G6 Plus will be flaunting 18:9 displays and dual cameras”

Just yesterday, we came across seemingly official renders of the upcoming Moto G6 lineup of handsets the Moto G6, G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play. The Lenovo-owned brand is expected to launch the trio at the upcoming Mobile World Congress to be held next month. Now, we have another at these handsets, thanks to new renders from Mysmartprice.

Moto G6

In the latest images, we can see all three handsets flaunting a glossy glass-sandwich design with curved back panels, which we have seen on the Moto X4 last year. The Moto G6 is said to be equipped with 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 450 processor to handle the performance department. Speculations indicate that there will be two variants of the handset – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. In the imaging department, we can expect a 12MP+5MP rear camera module and a 16MP front-facing camera with flash. It will run stock Android with Motorola’s proprietary Moto Actions, and will be powered by 3,000mAh battery. It comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded front home button.

Moto G6 Plus

Moving on to the larger sibling, the Moto G6 Plus comes with a bigger 5.93-inch Full HD+ display. On the performance front, it is rumoured to be powered by Snapdragon 630 processor, 3,200mAh battery and will be offered in same two variants as the G6. It also retains the remaining spec sheet including the same camera setup from G6, as well as the front home button. Both smartphones are expected to be offered in Black, Dark Teal, and Silver colours.

Moto G6 Play

Lastly, the Moto G6 Play is a deviation from the remaining two. The device is expected to come with a 5.7-inch HD display, which sticks to the conventional 16:9 aspect ratio. The fingerprint scanner on the device is located on the rear panel embedded in the Moto dimple, complete with the batwing logo as we recently saw on a leaked render of the Moto E5. No other detailss regarding the handset are known at the moment, except that it will come with a beefy 4,000mAh battery. Motorola is expected to offer the handset in Dark Charcoal, Deep Blue, and Gold hues.

The Moto G6 is expected to come with a price tag of $240 (~Rs 15,000), while the G6 Plus is likely to cost $330 (~Rs 21,000).
