“The G6 Plus sports a 5.84-inch 18:9 display and rocks a Snapdragon 630 chipset”
Last month, Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its latest Moto G series smartphones dubbed the Moto G6 (review) and Moto G6 Play in India. At the launch, the brand had confirmed that the high-end variant in the sixth-gen G series, the G6 Plus, will also be landing in the country soon. Now, the company has started teasing the launch of the Plus variant of the Moto G6 on Twitter.
In a tweet, Motorola wrote, “it’s time to ask for more from your smartphone. Get ready to say hello to the #MotoG6Plus, which is #BuiltForMore with a smart camera and serious performance! Stay tuned.” However, the company hasn’t yet revealed the exact launch date of the handset in the country.
For those unaware, the Moto G6 Play sports a 5.7-inch MaxVision display with FHD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. A 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor is ticking at its core, which is accompanied by 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 64GB, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card.
On the camera front, the Moto G6 Plus features a combination of 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors at the rear with an LED flash. As for selfies, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel shooter with a dedicated LED flash unit. The device comes preloaded with the stock version of Android Oreo out of the box. For security, the handset gets a fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. A 3,200mAh battery keeps the whole package running.
The Moto G6 Plus is expected to come in four colours options of Sterling Blue, Indigo Blue, Fine Gold, and Silver. While the Indian pricing isn’t known at the moment, the phone is available in Europe at around Rs 24,000. We should have the handset’s Indian availability and pricing details in a matter of days, so stay tuned.
