Now, the Motorola Moto Tab G70 has acquired approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) which hints at an imminent release in the country. Tipster Yash (@i_hsay) spotted the Moto Tab G70 LTE on the BIS certification website. The Moto Tab G20 was a rebranded Lenovo tablet, so we can expect the Moto Tab G70 LTE to also be one of Lenovo’s tablets.
Moto Tab G70 expected specifications
The Tab G70 tablet will come with a WUXGA+ display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. It will reportedly be powered by MediaTek Kompanio SoC and has the model number MT8183A. The Moto Tab G70 is further expected to come in a 4GB RAM variant, but Motorola may also launch more RAM and storage variants as well. The tablet will run on Android 11 out of the box, with an upgrade to Android 12 in the future.
The Moto Tab G70 also appeared on the Geekbench listing previously with a “P11” motherboard. Therefore, we can expect the upcoming tablet to be a tweaked version of one of the Lenovo Tab P11 series models. The Tab G70 scores 475 points in the single-core test and it scores 1,569 points in the multi-core Geekbench test.
Previously, Motorola launched its first Android tablet last month, called the Moto Tab G20. The Motorola Tab G20 comes with a vibrant 8″ HD+ IPS LCD display along with TDDI technology. There are slightly thick bezels on all the sides of the device but that doesn’t hamper the viewing experience at all. On the inside, the tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22T octa-core processor with a single variant of 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The Moto Tab G20 packs a 5,100mAh battery as well. We will have more updates about the G70 tablet, as and when it launches in India, so stay tuned for that.
