“The Motorola One Action will be another Android One smartphone from the brand”
Motorola One Action, the upcoming One-series smartphone from the brand, has surfaced on Google Play Console and Android Enterprise Recommended listings. The listings confirm the Motorola One Action specifications and design, including the tall aspect ratio and chipset, which have already been leaked previously. Like its siblings such as the One Power and One Vision, the Motorola One Action is also said to be the Android One smartphone that means it’ll boot vanilla Android OS out of the box. These listings also suggest that the handset’s launch shouldn’t be too far off.
The Motorola One Action has been listed with code-name “troika_sprout,” and the image above confirms it’ll be a sibling of the recently launched One Vision. The handset has the same punch-hole selfie camera at the top-right corner, and its specifications are quite similar, too. According to the listing, the handset will reportedly feature a 6.3-inch with full HD+ (2,520 x 1,080p) resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. The phone may rock Samsung’s Exynos 9609 mobile platform coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The Motorola One Action is said to boot Android 9 Pie out of the box and NFC for connectivity.
The only notable difference is going to be the Motorola One Action’s triple camera setup instead of dual at the back. The image reveals that the setup will house a “117-degree Action Cam,” which we previously confirmed. The sensor could be an ultra-wide-angle lens, and as the name suggests, it could be used for action shots. Apart from this, the phone is rumoured to have a 3,500mAh battery and a 12.6-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calling.
Lenovo-owned Motorola is yet to announce if and when it’s going to launch the Motorola One Action. However, with all the leaks and the new listing, the official unveiling seems imminent. Looking at the specs, this could be another mid-range handset from the brand. Evan Blass, meanwhile, has recently revealed that the Motorola is also working on two more Android One smartphones: the Motorola One Pro and Motorola One Macro.
