“The One Vision is said to be the brand’s first offering with a punch-hole display”
Motorola’s upcoming One series smartphone, the One Vision, has been the subject of a number of leaks and reports lately. The phone is rumoured to be officially unveiled at an event in Brazil on May 15th. Ahead of the unveiling, the smartphone has already been certified by several regulatory authorities like FCC, Bluetooth SIG, Wi-Fi Alliance, and NBTC in Thailand. Now, the handset has received the nod from yet another certification agency.
The Motorola One Vision has now been certified by BIS (Beauro of Indian Standards). On the certification agency’s website, the phone has received the approval under the model number XT1970-3. Notably, the device was certified by other agencies earlier under the same number. Sadly, the certification hasn’t revealed any specifications of the handset. However, it does points towards the launch of the phone in the country soon.
The Motorola One Vision is rumoured to be the company’s first smartphone to flaunt a punch-hole display. Notably, it will also be the vendor’s first handset to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos chipset. The handset is said to arrive with the mid-range Exynos 9610, which is an octa-core SoC that’s built utilising 10nm FinFET fabrication process. The chipset has four 2.3GHz Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz.
Talking about the other specs, if the reports are to be believed, the One Vision will sport a 6.2-inch display bearing a resolution of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels and the taller expect ratio of 21:9. The handset is expected to be equipped with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There could be some other memory variants in the offing as well. Software-wise, we can expect the handset to boot vanilla Android Pie out of the box with the usual Motorola enhancements.
If the reports are to be believed, one of the biggest highlights of the Motorola One Vision will be a 48-megapixel primary camera at the rear. The phone is said to offer Video 3D HDR, Long Exposure option for better low-light photography, and a secondary snapper at the back. Lastly, the rumours suggest that the One Vision will get a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3,550mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.
According to the reports, Motorola could also launch the One Action smartphone alongside the One Vision on May 15th. It is not clear if the Moto Z4 will also be unveiled at the same time. Only time will tell, so stay tuned.
