Motorola Razr 2022, Moto X30 Pro launching on August 2nd: here’s the first look

After countless rumours and leaks, the first 200MP camera phone, the Moto X30 Pro (also known as Moto Edge 30 Ultra/Frontier globally), and one of the most anticipated foldable smartphones launching this year, the Motorola Razr 2022, have gotten a launch date. Motorola took to Weibo (via) to announce the launch event, which will be held on August 2nd in China, days ahead of Samsung’s August 10th Unpacked event.

Last week, Motorola gave us a first look at the Motorola Razr 2022, and yesterday they revealed the gaming capability of the cover display of the Motorola Razr 2022. For the Moto X30 Pro/Moto Edge 30 Ultra, Motorola has confirmed that it features a 200MP camera with a massive 1/1.22-inch camera sensor and have also shared a camera sample.

As seen in the teaser above, Motorola plans an August 2nd event in China, where the brand will take the wraps off the Motorola Razr 2022 and the Moto X30 Pro/ Moto Edge 30 Ultra. The event will go live at 7:30pm local time (5 pm IST). Rumour mills say the Motorola Razr 2022 will see two colour options – Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue – and may retail at EUR 1,150 (Approx. Rs 94,000). On the other hand, the Moto X30 Pro/ Moto Edge 30 Ultra might cost EUR 899 (Approx. Rs 71,500).

Motorola has shared a teaser that reveals the rear camera setup of Motorola Razr 2022 and Moto X30 Pro/ Moto Edge 30 Ultra, which aligns perfectly with the renders leaked earlier. Here, have a look:

According to previous leaks, Motolra Razr 2022 come with a 6.7-inch pOLED foldable panel and a 3-inch cover display, powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It features a 50MP primary and 13MP ultra-wide dual rear camera setup and a 32MP selfie shooter.
