Motorola is expected to launch a series of foldable smartphones later this year. There’s been a lot of buzz on the upcoming Motorola foldables and there could be as many as three devices. Part of the lineup is going to be the Motorola Razr Lite which will be the company’s affordable offering. A new leak now suggests that it will actually be called Moto Razr 40 and not Lite. The leak is supposedly the foldable phone’s official press renders so we get a good look at its design and colour options.
Moto Razr 40 design, colours
The leaked images come from MySmartPrice, and it shows the full design of the Razr 40. The foldable phone has a clamshell design with a small horizontal screen that houses two selfie cameras, and displays notifications, date and time, incoming calls and more. It opens up to a bigger screen inside with a single punch-hole camera on top.
The Razr 40 is seen in three colour options of Purple, Cream and Olive Green with a vegan leather finish. The USB Type-C port and the speaker grille are located at the bottom of the phone. The renders confirm what has been leaked so far about the Razr 40. Motorola had also teased a new foldable phone on Weibo which is most likely the Razr 40 since it has the same clamshell design. The company is yet to spill details on the launch date.

On the specifications front, we still don’t know anything about the upcoming foldable. But we’re expecting to start seeing more teasers and possibly leaks as well. Joining the Motorola Razr 40 will be the Razr Pro and Razr 40 Ultra — all foldables. One tipster even suggests the Razr Pro and Razr Lite will launch globally on June 1st in Madrid, Spain.
