Budget gaming laptop feels like an oxymoron phrase but serves as an important category for those who are casual gamers or are just stepping into the advanced-level gaming ecosystem. Acer’s Nitro 5 is a laptop that falls into this very category and the company has now launched the refreshed model of this laptop in India. The refreshed version of the portable comes with improved specifications and will be made available in Intel and AMD processor as well as graphics card options.

Jumping right into the specifications, the Acer Nitro 5 (2018) sports a 15.6-inch full-HD IPS display. The Windows 10 laptop is powered by eighth-generation hexa-core Intel Core processor with NVIDIA GTX 1050 or 1050Ti graphics card. In case you like the AMD flavoured tea, you get the option for the AMD Ryzen 5 processor with Radeon RX560 graphics. Notably, the Intel processor variants are also available with Optane memory, which essentially offers fast read and write speeds. There is a backlit keyboard to make sure that lighting conditions don’t hinder your gaming experience.

The all-new Acer Nitro 5 comes with high-quality speakers with Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony technology to offer an immersive gaming experience, the company said in its release.

On the software side, the budget gaming laptop comes with the company’s Nitro Sense control software that allows for cooling management and system monitoring for the processor and GPU.

The new Acer Nitro 5 will be made available with hexa-core eighth-generation Intel Core i5, i7, i5+, i7+ processor or AMD Ryzen 5 processor options. The new gaming laptop will be available for purchase through Acer exclusive stores, major retailers, and e-commerce sites, as per the company. The pricing starts at Rs 65,999 for variants with AMD processors and Rs 72,999 for the laptop models with Intel processor options.
