New BlackBerry PlayBook release in 8 months?

According to the sources, there were several reports at the Emirates 24/7 that indicated that the new tablet could be launched as early as the end of the second quarter of this year. Nevertheless, there has been yet no official announcement about the exact launch date by BlackBerry officials. Al Mefleh said that the company has a very clear road map in place. BlackBerry will launch six additional new devices in the year 2013 and the tablet PlayBook will be one among these six new devices. In the mean time, other sources imply that the company could launch BB10 OS update to the existing BlackBerry PlayBook and after that the company would introduce its all new tablet in a probable 10 inch model. As the CEO NoteSmartly says that an upgrade can easily be released to make the existing PlayBook compatible to BB10, he also added that his company is developing an all new NoteSmartly app for the Playbook, which will be released in time for the launch of the new BlackBerry PlayBook. The ongoing PlayBook tablet was released in April 2011 that did not leave a good impression as it could not sustain the competition with the tablets from Apple and Samsung. The current PlayBook runs on BlackBerry OS and features a 7 inch display at 1024 X 600 pixels resolution. It is powered by 1.5 GHz dual core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM; it comes with 5 megapixel rear and 3 megapixel front facing cameras, and has storage of 32 GB.
