“OnePlus could announce its new logo with a black and white colour combination, replacing the red and white colour scheme”
The OnePlus logo has been pretty consistent throughout the past six years of the company’s existence. It has a typical ‘1+’ icon in a red/white colour scheme and in the same font as well. However, that will likely be changing soon as OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed the company will unveil a brand new image on March 18th. According to the post on the OnePlus community forum, Lau said that the community members are hearing this the same time as OnePlus’ employees. While he didn’t reveal much about the new brand logo, the executive did hint it will be significant.
This could be the New OnePlus logo
Now, while we wait for the announcement, a new leak, courtesy of the Chinese patent office, shows off what could be the OnePlus’ new logo. While it is technically different with a new black and white colour scheme and subtle tweaks, it looks the same for the most part. The colour scheme seems to suggest a more minimalistic and serious tone, which could be an interesting approach for the company. The font is similar to the one seen on the OnePlus 7T retail box. Unfortunately, there’s no way to tell if this is legit at the moment, but with the unveiling just a couple of days from now, the mystery should solve soon.
OnePlus 8 was recently leaked in the hands of Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr., who is also the global brand ambassador for OnePlus. The images showed off the rear side of the phone in a new orange colour and possible leather finish. It has triple cameras arranged vertically with LED flash and laser autofocus. The flagship is said to come with Snapdragon 865 SoC, 5G connectivity and a punch-hole design at the front to accommodate the selfie snapper. There are reports suggesting the company will announce the OnePlus 8 series on April 15th.
