OPPO launched the K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ smartphones in China this April. These phones are part of OPPO’s gaming-focused K series, succeeding the K13 Turbo series introduced last year. This lineup stands out with phones offering gaming aesthetics like LED lights, built-in cooling fans, and large batteries. OPPO could be adding a new model to the lineup, as we’ve come across a smartphone with a similar design language to the K15 Pro series on TENAA.

New OPPO smartphone spotted on TENAA

A new OPPO smartphone with the model number PYD110 has appeared on China’s CMIIT and TENAA certification platforms. Both are mandatory regulatory and certification requirements for electronics launching in China, confirming their imminent arrival. The listings don’t reveal the OPPO device’s specifications, but we do have a bunch of renders.

According to the design renders, this OPPO smartphone shares a similar design language with that of the K15 Pro series. The camera module is quite apparent with the slight cut on the side, and the cyber mecha-like design elements, which are mostly the same as seen on the OPPO K15 Pro lineup. The handset is also seen in the silver metallic finish, but it could launch in more colour variants. Although gaming-focused, the smartphone doesn’t go too extreme in terms of aesthetics as compared to ROG or RedMagic phones.

Since we don’t know about the handset’s specifications, we’ll have to wait for more details. But based on the speculation that it’s part of the OPPO K15 Pro series, we can expect performance-focused hardware and features like a built-in cooling fan. The OPPO K15 Pro series offers up to a 165Hz display, 8,000mAh battery, MediaTek Dimensity 9500s/8500 Super chipsets, a large vapour chamber, and a cooling fan. A 165Hz display would offer ultra-smooth gameplay for competitive titles, giving users an edge, and the combination of an 8,000mAh batterygenerally results in two full days of moderate use or extended gaming sessions.

This is the first time we’re hearing about this upcoming OPPO smartphone, so we can’t make any assumptions yet and should ideally wait for more concrete details. As for the OPPO K15 Pro series, it was recently tipped that the OPPO K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ smartphones are said to launch in India and possibly in Q3 of this year. So, if you’ve been waiting for a performance and gaming-focused OPPO smartphone, the K15 Pro series could be a worthy contender. We should still wait for reviews and compare it with rivals and the K13 Turbo series to see if the upgrades are significant.
